Climb to End Poverty: Empowering Change through Elevation

Nothing builds self-confidence like doing something you never thought you could. Climb to End Poverty (CTEP) is a world-wide effort to raise awareness of poverty and persons experiencing homelessness through individual and group climbing trips.

CTEP seeks to empower those currently affected by poverty to learn rock climbing and mountaineering skills and to encourage student, faith and community groups to sponsor CTEP trips, classes and events as we seek to build self-confidence and self-sufficiency among the poor of the world.

Climb to End Poverty is a collective effort to raise awareness, empower disadvantaged individuals and creatively support poverty advocacy through rock, ice, alpine and mountain climbing around the globe.

If you have ever imagined organizing a group of homeless youth to take an introductory rock climbing course or seek to raise funding and awareness for a poverty advocacy organization than  Climb to End Poverty is a great place to find information, organize, collaborate as we all work to END POVERTY!

As the site develops, you'll be able to register personal climbs for specific poverty efforts, organize volunteer support for poverty awareness outreach efforts through climbing, initiate fundraising efforts for poverty, and identify like-minded climbers to turn their passion for climbing into a powerful tool for social change.

Through a partnership with
Whats Up Magazine & The Homeless Empowerment Projectwe are currently accepting support through First Giving and hope to be able to register future climbs and outings by Spring 2011.

Thank you for your interest and for your support!
